On the occasion of their 100th anniversary, Aurora presents the “Cento Italia” collection: 10 iconic pens in the history of Aurora, symbol of the 10 decades, each revisited and produced in only 100 numbered pieces for the whole world (100 for Italy and 100 to Worldwide).
The fourth pen presented is the Optima with an rhodium-plated 18K solid gold nib, a cap and barrel in black resin, enhanced by historical guilloché “Riflessi” engraving, chrome-plated trims, and a shiny red bottom.
The Aurora Optima Cento is made entirely in-house, including the nib and ebonite feed. The nib is available in eleven widths: EF, F, Fine Flex, M, B, BB, Factory Stub, Factory Italic, and three different sizes of the new Goccia nib: CE, CF, and CM.
Each Optima Cento fountain pen is engraved with its limited edition number out of 100 on the cap band, opposite side of the clip.
Like all of Aurora’s piston-filling pens, the Optima Cento features Aurora’s unique piston filler design with a built-in ink reserve. When the pen runs dry, extend the piston to access enough ink for several more pages of writing. The piston knob will remain extended acting as a reminder to refill the pen while still allowing the cap to be posted.
