The Pelikan M800 Green Stripe fountain pen features a binde around the barrel made from cellulose acetate with alternating clear and shimmering green stripes. The cap, grip section, and piston knob are made from high quality black resin. The entire pen is then polished to a high sheen.
All the hardware is 24k gold-plated and comes with a two-tone 18k nib available in widths EF, F, M, B, and BB.

This is now my favorite pen! Dan ground a standard B into a stub for me and the pen writes exactly the way I like. The m800 quickly replaced 2 Visconti Homo Sapiens in my rotation – I couldn’t be more pleased.

This Pelikan M800 is my first Pelikan, and I am totally pleased. High quality construction and materials. After much research, and chatting with Dan, it was apparent that Pelikans write fairly broad and fairly wet, so “out-of-the-box” wouldn’t work for me as I prefer finer lines and moderate ink flow. I went with an EF nib, and Dan ground it to perform like a Japanese F. It turned out perfect. The nib is a beautiful, perfect writer for my style. I highly recommend Dan’s custom nib work.

I bought my M800 Green Stripe from Daniel because he offers the option of smoothing and tuning as a service when buying a pen. This is great peace of mind because I didn’t have to worry about having nib problems when the pen arrived. It’s a great pen that I bought to replace a 30 year old Waterman that I used daily until it broke. The Pelikan is smooth writing, has a superb piston fill system, is comfortable, and beautiful. It’s everything I hoped for in a European luxury pen that is being used as a daily writer.
