The Paragon collection, one of the most classical OMAS shapes, was created in 1930s by Mr. Armando Simoni. This collection, features a 12-faceted design and roller clip that were revolutionary for the Italian writing industry.

To complement this masterpiece, Omas manufactures this collection only with the finest celluloid. In 2023, Omas has refined the filling system with a modern mechanism designed to ensure that ink does not come into contact with the celluloid: a metal tube houses the ink chamber, which eliminates any chance of leaking or discoloration of the celluloid from chemicals present in some ink, preventing corrosion and preserving its quality over time.

OMAS was founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni in Bologna, Italy. The name is an Italian acronym (“Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni”), which for nearly a century has represented quality in design, materials, and performance along with incredibly beautiful colors and patterns.

Omas was known for its innovative designs and use of vivid materials. Omas created vibrant celluloid pens when black ebonite pens were the norm, sparking a catalog of colorful and innovative models. Since 1930s, Omas has been the pinnacle of Italian writing instrument manufacture.

Omas is back with an unwavering commitment to maintain the old-time company’s reputation and heritage while exploring and envisioning a future with new models and materials. Quality materials, unique designs, functional and practical writing systems are the three core elements we Omas follows when engineering a pen.
