Individual nib units for the Pelikan M200 are easily interchangeable and well suited for customization. The gold-plated, steel nib is available in sizes EF, F, M, B, and Italic Broad (which is really more of stub). The M200 nib unit can fit into the M400 and M600 pens as a more affordable alternative to gold nibs.

The best pen (nib) I’ve ever owned. I bought this nib to replace the original nib I received in my new Pelikan M200. That original nib was smooth enough, but it skipped on downstrokes far too often. Apparently, it might have been a common issue with new Pelikan nibs, a.k.a. “baby’s bottom.” Instead, the nib I bought here works perfectly. It’s just as smooth, and it never skips.
I’ve been buying various fountain pens for over a decade. From now on, I’m pretty sure I’ll be only buying them from nibsmith.com
