Perfectly sized pen with a beautiful, wet stub nib. You’ve likely read the reviews, and know this a pen everyone should try at least once. There’s a reason for that. It really is fantastic, and considering the nib customization offered here, I don’t know why you would buy one from anywhere else.

I got this pen yesterday and I love it already! I had heard so much about this pen and although it took me a couple hours to get used to it, I can say that it lives up to its reputation. I got a medium nib and mine writes very wet with a Pilot Iroshizuku ink. I would say the line is similar to that of a Western medium, perhaps even a little broader.

The pen is well-balanced and feels very comfortable to hold. The vacuum filling mechanism is easy to use, and I already cleaned out the pen once (switching ink colors) and I found that the cleaning wasn’t nearly as much of a chore as I expected. It just takes a little patience.

I also recommend getting the tune and smooth at least, I think it’s a good idea to get the nib checked before shipment when the pen is more expensive. Overall, a great pen and a great shopping experience from The Nibsmith!
