I ordered a Pilot Vanishing Point rhodium plated nib from Dan with an oblique medium grind and it arrived perfectly tuned with generous flow. It’s quite stubbish which adds some welcome flair to my handwriting while still being extremely forgiving with regard to the angle I hold it at. Very impressive!

I ordered an extra-fine Pilot Vanishing Point nib unit and asked for a specific adjustment such that the pen would write a consistent monoline in all directions under the lightest pressure. I also asked not to smooth the nib, as I prefer it that way. The nib exceeded my most optimistic expectations. It is an incredible writer, making handwriting so much fun. Thank you, Dan!
