The OMAS Ogiva is another masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship, known for its exquisite design and exceptional writing performance. The pen’s name, “Ogiva,” is inspired by its streamlined and tapered shape, reminiscent of an elegant bullet or an elongated drop of water. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Ogiva boasts a balanced and comfortable feel in hand, allowing for a smooth and effortless writing experience.

The new Ogiva model, slightly modified from the original, is somewhat larger. It feels sturdy in the hand, light when moving across the page, and is wonderfully appealing to the eye. Ogiva’s solid gold nib is adorned with the traditional OMAS arrow motif. The new Ogiva coming into production has a modified piston-filling system constructed of brass, leaving no chance of the pen barrel breaking. With a legacy dating back to 1927, the Ogiva has stood the test of time and remains a favorite among pen enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its blend of timeless aesthetics, impeccable craftsmanship, and exceptional functionality captures the essence of fine writing instruments.

14k Gold nib sizes include: EF, F, Fine Flex, M, B.

Description

OMAS was founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni in Bologna, Italy. The name is an Italian acronym (“Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni”), which for nearly a century has represented quality in design, materials, and performance along with incredibly beautiful colors and patterns.

Omas was known for its innovative designs and use of vivid materials. Omas created vibrant celluloid pens when black ebonite pens were the norm, sparking a catalog of colorful and innovative models. Since 1930s, Omas has been the pinnacle of Italian writing instrument manufacture.

Omas is back with an unwavering commitment to maintain the old-time company’s reputation and heritage while exploring and envisioning a future with new models and materials. Quality materials, unique designs, functional and practical writing systems are the three core elements we Omas follows when engineering a pen.
