Furore grande 2020, piston filler, 4 different colors
After numerous requests received from customers all over the world, Leonardo has decided to introduce the new Furore in the “large” version with piston mechanism (capacity 1.5ml), ebonite feed, and your choice of steel or gold nibs.
Recall that in 2018 Leonardo launched the Furore cartridge/converter filling collection, the name Furore is inspired by the famous fiord located on the Amalfi Coast, where the small village of Furore is hidden. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it is officially considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy for the charm of its fiord. Halfway between Sorrento and Amalfi, just below the Path of the Gods, Furore is a hidden gem between rough cliffs and the sea. A magical place that has inspired various personalities over time: among many, the director Roberto Rossellini directed the movie “L’Amore” with the actress Anna Magnani.
Design and Specifications
The Furore Grande features slightly softer lines at the ends than the large MZ, but the clip and grip are the same. The pen body diameters are also identical.
The piston filling system, designed and produced 100% within Leonardo’s workshop, provides a huge 1.5mL ink capacity. The Furore Grande is available only as a fountain pen and includes a 40mL bottle of ink. The attention to detail in the turning and polishing phase, the high quality of the finishes make this collection unique, even the “grande” version of the Furore features a stainless steel ring (Leonardo guarantees that it is not subject to oxidation or peel over time or in contact with ink).
The Furore Grande is available in 4 different resins: a new Emerald green joins blue Hawaii, blue Positano and Purple. Each color is available with white rhodium trim only except the Purple version which is available in white rhodium and rose gold.
Steel nib sizes include: EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5.
14k Gold nib sizes include: EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1 (new), Stub 1.3, and Elastic.

I’m thrilled with my Furore Grande, and especially with the architect grind Dan put on this for me. The pen itself is comfortable to write with, not too big, which was one of my concerns before purchasing the Grande. Lots of features, like the ebonite feed, piston filling system, and the rich, lustrous material that has a quality feel in the hand. Getting a custom grind from Dan, tuned to my writing preferences, makes this a great value.
