The celluloid material gives this pen a special warmth when holding it to write and the depth and shading of the various colors – from dark navy to pearlescent gray – are mesmerizing. I’ve found Leonardo nibs to be consistently excellent writers right out of the box, but I had Dan put a cursive italic grind on this F 18k nib and it writes even better – wet and smooth, with just the right amount of line variation. The wait for custom nib work is absolutely worth it!
